FALL CHECKLIST

My biggest pet peeve when it comes to shopping is buying a piece and wearing it only once. We've all had that moment where we just HAD to have that super cute high-low chiffon dress in blue. Two weeks later we realize high-low hems are dead and hate the poor dress. With the new cool season rolling in to the north, it is wise to make sure you have the basics down first. Basics, that we can wear repeatedly and mix in seamlessly with whatever other craziness we are into at the moment. Designer jerseys anyone?

Pitchfork Music Festival is this weekend in Chicago! It honestly feels like it sneaked up on us so here's some outfit inspo so that you're not completely caught off guard.

Inspiration: Street Festival Style

The city of Chicago reigns when it comes to summer street festivals. Every weekend you can count on at least a few fests going on in different parts of the city. This weekend's highlight is the Milwaukee Ave. Arts Festival in Logan Square.

One thing to remember when dressing for a street festival is that it is not a music festival a la Lolla. Which means outfits are not as avant garde unless your outfits are always avant garde then power to you!

Here is a nonchalant street fest outfit idea I would wear!
